Digiplay Initiative restyled

Sunday, April 15, 2007

Hadn't looked on the Digiplay Initiative site for a while but they restyled it and for the better! It runs on Drupal which is an interesting web 2.0 application. Good to see a great example of its use. The site looks really good with a timeline, events (workshops, seminars, conferences), that nice little feature of reading material on the right (with picture of the book mentioned), cfp's, not to mention the extensive and great game research bibliography. Helpful to say the least! Something I can't seem to find however is a Links section, maybe I'm just overlooking it. But I totally love the site. I am thinking of creating something like this for several years now, but a more localised version of it, with some more focus on the Netherlands, maybe now is a good time.

Web 2.0

Saturday, April 14, 2007

Web 2.0 is hot, maybe even more than that. At the moment I'm interested in it myself for several reasons. I really wish I could go to the conference that will be held next week in San Franscisco called... Web 2.0 Expo. At least that's clear. Thanks to Alice for posting it on her blog. I make sure to check out the several blogs and probably videostreams to keep me posted and updated about the conference. Especially the Immersive Experiences: Lessons from Game Designers and Reality Bites: The Future of Gaming + Virtual Worlds 2.0 sessions are looking interesting.
